On February 10 and 11th School of Education Associate Dean David Rosenthal hosted student from Seoul National University. Students from SNU were accompanied by Professor Hunseok Oh a current UW Madison visiting scholar from SNU and Yeseul Choi international Ph.D student at UW from SNU. The five students were all teacher education student in different fields. The students took a quick tour of our Natatorium where some of our Kinesiology and physical education programs are located and were able to meet and speak with UW Professor Cindy Kuhrash. We were able to take them out to a cooperating school, Lincoln Elementary, to meet UW student teachers and K-5 students visiting their classrooms and gym. They also took part in a new teacher seminar, both activities spearheaded by UW’s Beth Giles –Klinkner. On their second day in Madison, SNU students met up with School of Education, Student Ambassadors for a course in Policy. Followed by lunch with international students from South Korea and our Global Initiatives Team, before meeting the Dean, Diana Hess and Curriculum and Instruction faculty Li- Ching Ho. We had such an engaging experience with these students. We look forward to an opportunity to host students and scholars from all of our INEI partners.
